Glass Care
Just bought a piece or thinking about it? Stained glass needs just a little TLC. Be sure to follow the below hanging and cleaning instructions to enjoy a lifetime of stained glass beauty.
Hanging + Handling
Glass is fragile and will break if dropped or knocked about. Please place in an area that is not likely to be jostled. Be sure to hang from a secure and sturdy hook or nail. Suction cups are not recommended as they often fail.
A removable 3M Command clear hook is recommended and provided with every purchase so you can enjoy immediately! It can be placed on a window or wall and if you change your mind the sticky tab will remove easily and another sticky tab can be used. Find full instructions for using 3M Command hooks here.
*All pieces are now made with lead-free solder and are safe for handling. There is no risk of lead exposure as with traditional lead based solder.
Cleaning + Care
Each stained glass piece has been cleaned and polished and is ready to hang. If cleaning is required over time, gently dust or polish with a soft, dry cloth such as cotton t-shirt material or microfiber. Do not use an abrasive sponge or glass cleaning liquid as it could degrade the patina on the solder.
To restore shine, apply a small amount of Mothers car wax or Pledge furniture polish and buff with a soft cloth. This only needs to be done once or twice a year – if at all.
